free day: the neck cream

StriVectin neck cream

I somehow received this little tub of StriVectin neck cream in the mail — maybe a free sample I requested online and then forgot about? It is just about the best smelling cream I have ever come across in my life. If a 1.7-ounce container didn’t cost $89, I’d consider replenishing when I finish my sample. I don’t necessarily have issues with neck sagging — yet — but I’m sure it can’t hurt to tighten things up.

This reminds me of a lovely little book called “I Feel Bad About My Neck,” by Nora Ephron. Allow me to recommend it to you. (Probably only if you’re female, though. The subtitle is, after all, “And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman.”) I read it a few years ago for a book club and still laugh sometimes when I think about the frank and hilarious anecdotes Ephron shares in her essays. Put it on your to-read list.

Oh my gosh, I love this. Seriously the same thing goes through my head for any type of beauty remedy… can’t hurt. I have learned my lesson, because it can and usually WILL hurt in the form of a rash these days. Rash is my middle name. Sad right?
