I’ve been trapped at Boston Logan for the last four hours waiting for a flight, and the end is nowhere in sight. All this because of rain! If things had gone as planned, I’d have already finished eating dinner with my family in Virginia. But because I’m not yet in Virginia, I have no dinner. I’ve been wary of straying too far from the gate because I’m flying standby and I don’t want to miss my chance to get a seat. The only food establishment in sight is Dunkin’ Donuts, so I finally broke down and ordered a $0.99 Wake-Up Wrap. I figured if it qualified for a blog post it would be a good idea. But watching the DD employee assemble the sub-par ingredients made me feel completely disappointed in myself for the purchase. And I’m a little ashamed to admit it was satisfying in my time of need.
With the way things are looking here at gate C33, I may have to venture further for another airport snack. They just announced our plane is broken. Wish me luck!
