Well, I’m back from Virginia. I had a lovely long weekend with my family, including a ladies only overnight trip to Richmond, plenty of play time with the nieces, and lots of chances to hold my new baby nephew. Adriel was my errands buddy one afternoon, so I rewarded her with a $1 prize — of her choosing — from Target. It didn’t take her too long to decide on a four-pack of Disney princess gel pens. She wasn’t thrilled with the idea of a photo documenting the purchase, but I made her pose while we waited for the kindergarten bus to arrive. Out of about 10 shots, this is the one where she came closest to actually smiling.
